If you're looking to get a shot of your desktop, try minimizing all your windows ((so you just see your desktop)) and hit a key on your keyboard labled "Print Screen__SysRq"...then go into photoshop/mspaint/paint shop ((whatever you use...)) and paste it into a new document... should work ^^
